The Strategy of Being Early.
Being early is not one act but a sequence of strategic moves: position before consensus, reroute when probability changes, withdraw from deteriorating bets, assemble capability, concentrate force at the decisive window, and eventually subsume the constraints surrounding a strong core. This Foresight Lab campaign reads each move through one of Africa's great strategists. The terrain changes; the strategic primitives recur. It is released in phases, beginning with Shaka Zulu on concentration.
Six strategists, one sequence.
1 of 6 liveThe campaign releases one strategist at a time. Each carries its own carousel to read, a deck to download, and an audio companion. This map fills as each phase goes live. Published phases and their links do not change.

Day 1 · Shaka · 24:21Lessons from Africa's Great Strategists is a campaign of the OFP Foresight Lab, drawn from the paper The Strategy of Being Early. It takes six strategic primitives, position, reroute, withdraw, assemble, concentrate and subsume, and reads each through a figure who shows it clearly: Menelik II, Queen Nzinga, Samori Touré, Sundiata Keita, Shaka Zulu and Aliko Dangote.
The historical cases are used as annotations on the foresight cycle, not as a separate theory. They are real and drawn from the public and scholarly record; where a claim remains a research lead, the source material says so. The campaign is released one strategist at a time, beginning with Shaka Zulu on concentration. The full paper follows as the phases complete.
